Day 1 – Mysore to Ooty via the Scenic Route
8:30 AM: Your driver meets you at your Mysore hotel or the railway station. We head towards the hills, stopping at a local bakery for fresh varkey and hot chai. 12:00 PM: Arrive in Ooty and check into your cosy hotel. 2:00 PM: After lunch, visit Doddabetta Peak (2,637m) – the highest point in the Nilgiris. Wrap up warm, the wind can be brisk. 4:00 PM: Stroll through the Botanical Garden with its 150-year-old fossil tree. Evening: Settle into a café for Ooty's famous hot chocolate. Overnight in Ooty.
Local tip: If you're visiting in season (April–May), don't miss the flower show at the Botanical Garden.
Day 2 – Ooty & Coonoor Exploration
8:00 AM: Breakfast with a side of misty views. 9:00 AM: Visit the Rose Garden with over 20,000 varieties. 10:30 AM: Ooty Lake – you can paddle a rowboat or simply sit and watch the ducks. 12:30 PM: Lunch en route to Coonoor. 2:00 PM: Explore Sim's Park in Coonoor, then drive to Lamb's Rock for panoramic views. 4:00 PM: Dolphin's Nose viewpoint – on a clear day, you can see the Catherine Falls waterfall in the distance. Day 3 – Tea Gardens & Return to Mysore
